Hogevank (Հոգեվանք; also known as Khokevank, Ogevank, Karmir vank Կարմիր վանք, St. Karapet Church (Surb Karapet), Dzoragyugh Monastery, Ձորագյուղի վանք) is an Armenian monastery complex of the 13th century , located 3 km northwest of the village of Sarnaghbyur, Shirak region Armenia.
According to the inscription above the northern entrance, Hogevank was built in 1205. On November 23, 2013, the monastery was consecrated by the leader of the Shirak diocese, Bishop Mikayel Ajapahyan. Stepanos Avetisyan, the spiritual shepherd of the Sarnakhburotets community, said that although it is generally accepted that the date of construction of Hogevank is the 13th century, some documents contain information about it from the 7th century. The monastery was last renovated in 1985.
Hogevank belongs to the domed hall type. On the eastern side there is a semicircular senior tomb, on both sides of which there are vaulted storage rooms of a rectangular shape. It has two entrances, from the western and northern sides. The cylindrical drum dome was demolished in 1939 by an earthquake and was renovated in the 1980s. Built of hewn red tuff stones. Black and gray tuff was also used in subsequent renovations.
