SHAKI WATERFALL

According to tradition…
Terrorist Turkish Enemies sent 93 beautiful girls from Syunik region province to their leader stationed in Mughan.
When the caravan of captive girls arrives here, they address their captors and say:
“We got very dusty and dirty on the long journey, let us bathe in the river and introduce ourselves to your elders.”
The terrorist kidnappers agree. The girls strip, threw themselves into the waves of the Thunderstorm and disappear under the water. Only a blue-eyed girl named Shaki tried to escape by escaping through a rushing river.
Enemies came after her, but at the same moment, a rock miraculously falls into the river and the water pours over it, hiding Shaki under its white foam. After that, that waterfall and the village near it are named after Shaki.

Shaki waterfall is situated on the left side of the Vorotan River. In fact, the flows of basalt became solid and formed 18 meters high ledge. The waterfall is in Syunik Province that is 6km away from town Sisian. It is important to realize that it is one of the most inspiring sights in Armenia.
