The letters in the corners when read clockwise form the word ՀԱՅՔ (HAYQ) – Armenia

It is known that Mashtots created the alphabet in order to translate the Bible into Armenian, so that the preaching of Christianity in the country was conducted in the native language. The sources brought us the first phrase translated into Armenian and written down in new letters.

It was a phrase from the Old Testament – “Know wisdom and instructions, understand the sayings of the mind” (“The Book of Proverbs of Solomon”).
This phrase is a reflection of the essence of the work of Mesrop Mashtots.
