STEPANAVAN ARBORETUM

Stepanavan Arboretum is an arboretum in Armenia, near the city of Stepanavan and the village of Gyulagarak

Area – 35 hectares, of which 17.5 hectares are natural forests, 15 hectares are ornamental trees.

“Sosnyaki” is located on the northwestern slope of Mount Argasar, at an altitude of 1550 meters above sea level.

Today the arboretum is of interest to the general public, professional scientists and ecotourists.

This provides an opportunity to study the adaptive characteristics of different plants to new environmental conditions.

It is possible to conduct training programs for students to train and study the unique flora of the Armenian region.

The Arboretum is an ideal location for guided tours and public botanical and zoological excursions.
