ARMENIAN NAKHIJEVAN

Nakhijevan… the biblical land. It was here that Noah descended from the mountains of Ararat after the flood. “…on the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark landed on the mountains of Ararat”

Nakhijevan is one of the ancient cities of Armenia, built on the site of the ancient settlement of Mohrablur. The name Nakhijevan is translated as refuge (“nakh idjevan” – in Armenian – the first refuge).

When talking about Nakhijevan, we always have to say: ruins remained, destroyed by the Caucasian Turks, that is, by the Azerbaijanis. In Nakhijevan, the Azerbaijanis managed to do what they failed to do in Artsakh – there are almost no traces of the Armenians who lived here for thousands of years. Today Artsakh is occupied by Azerbainan terrorists is facing destruction and if there are no Armenians there, then Artsakh will turn into a second Nakhijevan which is currently occupied as well by Azerbaijanis.
