Established between the years 334 and 338, Khosrov Forest is a national reserve in Armenia’s Ararat region.
In these mountainous regions, King Khosrow had forests planted. The land now comprising the reserve was formerly a part of Greater Armenia’s Ararat province.
From that time until now, a Mediterranean ecosystem has developed, juniper thickets and oak forests have persisted, and rare and endangered species have been able to thrive.
In the forest, you can find four stunning waterfalls. There are two monasteries on the property: Aghjots and Havuts Tar.
