Azerbaijan was responsible for the destruction of the memorial fountain that was constructed in occupied Shushi behind the Khachatur Abovyan school.
The Azerbaijani side is continuing the process of removing any traces of Armenian identity from Shush. The monuments that were constructed in remembrance of Armenian freedom heroes are the major target of this operation.
