ARARAT

ARARAT (‘arar’ – creation, ‘at’ – place; Arm. Արարատ) – place of creation, cradle of the Aryan family. Ararat in ancient Iranian legends is called ‘Ariana Vaidjo’, which means ‘Homeland of the Aryans’. In the same sense, in ancient Indian legends it is called ‘Ariavarta’, in Sumerian – ‘Aratta’, in Assyrian – ‘Urartu’. This circumstance alone proves that Ararat is the cradle of the Aryans.

From here they spread throughout the world and formed various Aryan peoples, which has been confirmed in recent decades by the data of world science, according to which the Armenian Highlands are the ancestral home of the Indo-European peoples, that is, the Aryans. The Aryans who remained in Ararat began to be called Armenians, and Ararat – Armenia.

The sacred biblical mountain is mistakenly called simply Ararat, but there is Little Ararat and Greater Ararat (Sis and Masis). The sacred mountain is Masis, where Noah’s Ark arrived according to the Bible.
